Equitable Earth
End-to-end carbon certification platform with TurboTax-style workflows and blockchain-inspired carbon accounting.
Project Overview
At Equitable Earth, I led development of a digital-first platform that enables high-integrity carbon projects to move from onboarding through credit issuance with full transparency, traceability, and community inclusion. The system merged a TurboTax-style guided workflow, a blockchain-inspired UTXO ledger for carbon credits, and a custom meta-language for dynamic form orchestration.
Carbon certification is traditionally slow, opaque, and difficult for communities to navigate. Our goal was to create a system that was intuitive enough for non-technical users, robust enough to satisfy auditors and investors, and transparent enough to build trust in the voluntary carbon market.
The platform accelerated certification by turning months of manual work into guided digital workflows, increased trust via blockchain-style traceability, and empowered Indigenous Peoples & Local Communities (IPLCs) to lead their own projects through accessible guided forms.
